Making The Move To A Memory Foam Bed? Know What To Ask When You Go To Buy!

It seems that in the marketplace today every bed manfacturer is coming out with a line of memory foam mattresses. If you are considering buying a memory foam mattress it is important to know the differences between the many memory foam bed products on the marketplace. It is also a good idea to have the right questions to ask when you are getting ready to buy the bed to make sure you are getting the mattress that is right for you. Tempur-Pedic probably has the most recognizable memory foam mattress brand, but if you want to go memory foam and don't have the budget for a Tempur-Pedic don't worry. There are plenty of bed manufacturers out there that make quality memory foam beds. The following is a short list of what to look for in a good memory foam mattress regardless of who makes it.

• What is the quality and density of the memory foam used in the mattress? Many memory foam mattresses fall within a 5lb per cubic foot to 8lb per cubic foot range. 
• How long has this particular bed manufacturer been making memory foam mattresses? Although we recognize the quality of Tempur-Pedic memory foam mattresses, some of our favorite memory foam beds on the market today are from other manufacturing companies including: Sealy's True Form Line, and the Rhapsody bed by Dormia. Both options are excellent alternatives to the expensive Tempur-Pedic line.
• It's also a good idea to ask about a warranty and return policy too. Some mattress retailers have programs in place that allow you to return a bed within a particular time period if you decide it isn't the right bed for you. 

With these questions in mind the rest is up to you to find what mattress is right for the type of sleeper you are. Again we advocate going to a store where you have the ability to try the mattress out first. This will help you decide which bed can best meet your needs, and more importantly if a memory foam bed is right for you at all.
